I had a lovely stay at Parador De Malaga Gibralfaro, with amazing views over the city and harbor that truly made my experience special. The staff were warm and accommodating, and I enjoyed the comfortable room with its spacious layout. However, the hotel is a bit far from the city center, and returning required a taxi or bus. Dining wasn't as nice as I hoped, especially the restaurant experience, which left something to be desired.

Rooms
9.0
My room was spacious and airy, featuring a small private terrace with stunning views of Malaga. The beds were super cozy, making my nights restful despite some external noise at times.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and always willing to help, which really enhanced my stay. However, there were moments, especially at the bar on busier nights, when service was a bit slow.
Location
8.0
Set on a hill next to Gibralfaro Castle, the location offered very nice views but was a steep walk down to the city. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes for the walk back or catching the bus, which was reasonably priced.
Dining
7.0
While I did have a lovely breakfast and enjoyed dining on the terrace, I found the restaurant dining options underwhelming compared to my expectations. The atmosphere was nice, but the food quality fell a bit short.
Facilities
8.0
The rooftop pool was a great spot to relax and soak in the sun. The common areas were well-designed and added a nice touch, even if the hotel itself felt a bit dated.

I enjoyed my stay at Parador De Malaga Gibralfaro, primarily due to the amazing views of the city and the harbor. The room was comfortable and offered a lovely balcony, but the mattresses were a bit hard for my liking. Breakfast was a highlight, although there were some minor service issues during my visit. Overall, it was a good experience, with certain areas needing attention.

Rooms
8.0
My room was large, clean, and comfortable with great views of Malaga, especially from the balcony. However, the mattress was quite hard, which may not be ideal for everyone.
Service
7.0
The reception staff were friendly, but sometimes I felt a lack of warmth, possibly due to the screens separating us. They were generally helpful, though.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location on a hill provides majestic views, and while the walk down to the city center is enjoyable, the uphill return can be challenging, especially after dining.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast offered excellent variety, and I loved having it on the terrace both mornings. The restaurant experience was satisfactory, yet there were a few service hiccups.
Facilities

The hotel had a lovely pool area, which was quiet during my visit, and I appreciated the free parking, a great choice for a busy city like Malaga.

Staying at Parador De Malaga Gibralfaro was a mixed experience for me. The amazing views of Malaga and the harbor were truly magnificent, adding a special charm to my visit. However, I found the service lacking, especially during breakfast, where it took a while to catch the staff's attention for a second cappuccino. While my room was spacious and well-equipped with a lovely terrace, I felt the dining options could use improvement, as not everything hit the mark.

Rooms
9.0
My room was on the top floor, spacious and spotless, with quality linens and a great terrace for enjoying the view. The amenities, such as the coffee machine and fridge, were a nice touch.
Service
7.0
Though some staff were friendly and helpful, I noticed moments when they seemed under pressure, particularly in the restaurant area, which affected the overall experience.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location offers stunning views, but the steep hill makes walking back from the city a challenge. Bus and taxi options are available, but they can be limited.
Dining
5.0
While I enjoyed some aspects of breakfast, the restaurant food fell short of expectations. Some dishes missed the mark, leading to a somewhat disappointing dining experience.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area is small but tranquil, which I appreciated. However, the overall ambiance could use a refresh to match its stunning location.

I had a lovely stay at Parador De Malaga Gibralfaro, where the amazing views of the city and the Mediterranean were lovely. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome. However, the path to the city was a bit slippery, so I would recommend wearing the right shoes for walking. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable experience that I would recommend to others.

The location is fantastic, sitting atop a hill near the Gibralfaro Castle with beautiful views over the port and city. While it was a bit of a hike back up, the views made it worthwhile.

I had a pleasant two-night stay at the Parador de Malaga Gibralfaro, thanks to its magnificent views and well-designed architecture overlooking the city. On the downside, my experience was marred by noise from the room above, leading to a room change. The dining options left a bit to be desired, particularly the restaurant service, which felt unprofessional at times.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were comfortable and boasted stunning views, though my first room was quite small and noisy due to issues with neighbors above. After switching rooms, I appreciated the additional space and quiet.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and accommodating; however, my experience at the restaurant was disappointing due to unresponsive service.
Location

Perched high above Malaga, the hotel provided amazing views of the city and the Mediterranean, although it was a bit of a hike to the center.
Dining
5.0
While breakfast had a decent variety, I found the restaurant service to be lacking, and the food quality didn't meet my expectations during my dinner experience.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had lovely common areas and a serene atmosphere, with a rooftop pool that was a delight, but some facilities could use a bit of refurbishment.
